Overview

This directory contains the timeline-facing lore documents for The Resonance Cosmos.

Use these documents for settled historical structure, major transitions, and focused historical strands. Use only as the working registry and constraint ledger.

The timeline shelf is strongest in two linked layers: the cosmic baseline that explains how stable reality becomes possible, and the first major Caeldon chronology that stretches from planetary formation and early regional differentiation into later species, regional, civilizational, and deep-world interactions.

Within the cosmic layer, the shelf is beginning to break out from the broad baseline into focused buildup, rupture, aftermath, threshold, world-formation, and first-planet bridge pages. Within the Caeldon layer, the shelf now has a clearer layered structure: a planetary ladder of regional differentiation, lineage formation, and species stabilization; baseline and founding sequences where stabilized peoples harden into first heartland answers; branch, lineage, lifeway, and design-lineage differentiation; regional-prehistory pages; first-contact frontier pages; broad contact overviews; later branch, corridor, rivalry, and prestige pages that point back into older baseline and branch-forming steps; and a deep-world branch that now reads more cleanly as interface, first contact, rupture, sealing, parallel darkening and deepening, state formation, first claims, site conflict, and later memory inheritance.

Branch history should usually stay broad at this level. The main timeline should show where a species baseline, first order, secondary divergence, absorption, or medieval visible layer belongs, but it should not create a full event page for every old lineage unless that lineage explains a founding, merger, ruin, taboo, legal category, contact zone, or successor institution.

The directory is now split into topical sub-shelves so the timeline can scale without leaving every document in one crowded folder.

The reusable design logic for chronology scale, pacing, layering, and parallel development is now documented separately in Overview: Frameworks and its linked framework pages so this overview can remain a clearer entry point into the historical canon shelves.

Current Documents

The working timeline registry also carries the broader chronological ladder beneath this shelf, even where full timeline-facing documents for later eras have not yet been spun out.
