The Keeper of Binding Oaths

Overview

The Keeper of Binding Oaths preserves one of the central laws of ordered existence: words must be capable of carrying consequence. This Steward governs vows, treaties, sworn duties, sacred promises, and declarations that alter reality because they were truly spoken and truly meant.

It exists because language without consequence decays into noise, and civilization without trust rots from within.

Appearance and Presence

The Keeper appears as a robed magistrate of dark ink and silver law-script. Every motion leaves a brief trail of written clauses hanging in the air.

Office and Mandate

This office preserves trust as metaphysical force.

Without this office, vows would degrade into rhetoric with no metaphysical consequence.

Role in the Cosmology

The Keeper of Binding Oaths helps make trust structurally possible. It stands beneath diplomacy, marriage, kingship, initiation, and every vow that matters because it must endure beyond impulse.
