The Steward of Coherent Self guards the law that a being may change profoundly without ceasing to be itself. This office preserves continuity of personhood through grief, growth, injury, transformation, revelation, and healing.

It is not the steward of personality in the shallow sense. It governs the deeper coherence that allows a self to endure its own becoming without shattering into contradiction, mimicry, or emptiness.

In the current historical framework, this office remains intact but burdened by harsher worlds rather than being wounded or fallen in the same way as some structural Terra offices. That makes it one of the main reasons adaptation, mixed inheritance, and post-catastrophe survival do not automatically become metaphysical dissolution.

The Steward appears as a mirrored figure whose surface reflects not the viewer’s current face, but the viewer’s most integrated and truthful form.

• Visuals: Cracks run through the mirror-body, but each crack is sealed with soft prismatic light rather than brokenness.
• The Atmosphere: Nearby, masks feel heavy. Pretenses begin to slip. Internal conflict rises, but so does the possibility of reconciliation.
• The Voice: It sounds uncannily like the listener’s own voice, spoken from a future in which their fragments have learned to belong to one another.
