Overview
This directory contains reusable framework documents for the timeline-facing Caeldon shelf.
Use these files for chronology rules, pacing logic, branch-history placement, and structural guidance that should remain useful even after the main timeline documents become denser and more finalized.
These framework documents are meant to separate timeline method from timeline canon. The historical event pages should still carry the actual chronology, but the rules for how dates, overlap, pacing, and shelf structure are handled should live here so later expansion and normalization work stays coherent.
Current Documents
- Caeldon Deep-Time Framework: defines the long-scale chronology spine, civilizational pacing rule, and species-origin language for early Caeldon history.
- Timeline Layering and Parallelism Framework: defines how the timeline should layer baseline, branch-history, contact, divergence, and mature-system history while keeping species and regional development feeling naturally parallel rather than serialized.
- Species Branch and Civilization Framework: the people-facing companion framework for distinguishing species, branches, lifeways, civilizations, and branch-history timeline bands.
